Being Alive Today

Join Me on My Journey of 365 Days of Gratitude

The perfect day

Riding along as a passenger in the back seat of the car, the sun starting to set,  it hits me, that fleeting sense of immortality.

For the past year or so I have been receiving sudden flashes, reminders that life here is short and so why the hell am I having another mediocre day.

Angry at myself for not appreciating life, I vow this time to continually reflect and appreciate.  By the time the car has arrived at destination, my mind has already moved on…did we bring the juice for our little one, we are already late… and so it goes.

This New Years I resolve to appreciate today…every day.  That is 365 days to appreciate.

Peanuts in the span of a lifetime.  But like all resolutions, if you don’t have a plan, you are already SOL before you see the back of January.

Let me share my plan with you, the world can use a little more appreciation:
My day:  I begin by saying “Thank You” out loud – to nobody in particular, just a reminder to myself.

Today I will be grateful!

I am hoping you will join me and give it a try.  And I would love to hear your feedback and how your day went.

What were you grateful for?  What did you learn?  I am excited to hear and I will post you on mine!

What a fantastic idea!! LOVE IT!
I am grateful for my friends (many of whom I have had since childhood). They make me laugh, lend me their shoulders to cry on, support me and am my “voice of reason” when I need one.

  2. I say that every day! First thing before my feet even hit the floor. I have so much to be thankful for… it just seems the right thing to do to start my day!
